Eyebrow threading is a depilation technique which originated in India, and is also widely practiced in the Middle East. Eyebrow threading involves twisting a piece of thread, usually cotton, into a double strand. This double stranded thread is used to pick up a line of hair and then remove it, creating a very clean, precise hairline. Because it removes hair by the follicle, it is a reasonably long lasting hair removal technique as well (site)
A couple of weeks ago I allowed my bestfriend Cynthia talk me into getting my eyebrows threaded. Now, I know you are thinking why is that such a big deal? Well you see I was an eyebrow threading virgin. I usually do my eyebrows myself with a razor, or I go get them waxed. I have heard stories of how threading hurts so I refused to give it a try. I needed my eyebrows done in the worst way, and somehow Cynthia and her illuminati powers (insider) talked me into trying eyebrow threading. I promise some of the best moments in my life were with her. I can laugh for days thinking about all the crazy stuff that we have participated in. We have had too much fun, and the fun is nowhere near over.
So due to her peer pressure we went to Brow Art23. I sat in the chair and my eyebrow virginity was taken from me. I have a low tolerance for pain. NOBODY told me that it would feel like somebody was going across my eyebrows with a lawnmower. I almost left there with one eyebrow done. I suffered through it, and I did enjoy the final look. Will I do it again? I am not sure. I may just stick to waxing. I may give it another whirl because it is lasting longer than when I wax them.
My friend was snapping pictures of the entire process. Which do you prefer waxing, or threading?
